About Ara Kassabian, CPA

Ara Kassabian is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of American Certified Public Accountants. He also belongs to the Institute of Certified Management Accountants and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. Over the years, Mr. Kassabian has acquired extensive accounting experience as a senior accountant and manager with a variety of companies and CPA firms, worldwide. In total, he has more than thirty years of experience in handling a diverse range of public and private accounting and tax matters.

Mr. Kassabian received his MBA from the American University of Beirut in 1986. After graduating he held a number of tax accounting positions with major firms including Ernst and Young and Schlumberger Ltd. He went on to hold a series of progressively senior financial accounting and internal audit positions for various international companies.

In the mid-nineties Mr. Kassabian received his certificate as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) while working at a Los Angeles accounting firm. He later worked as an accountant with a startup company and then a health care business. He was also an adjunct professor of Finance at Pepperdine University.

In 2001 he started his company, Ara Kassabian CPA; now a six person firm that offers a full range of accounting and tax services to small and mid-size businesses in a variety of industries. Business services rendered include: income tax preparation for corporations, partnerships, and nonprofit organizations, as well as audits, compilations, and payroll tax reports. The firm also provides general accounting services to individuals, including income tax form preparation. The company strives to meet each client's specific needs in planning for the future and achieving their business and/or personal goals in an ever-changing financial and regulatory environment.

Mr. Kassabian has become somewhat of an expert in providing support to clients in tax-related litigation cases; analyzing financial documents and giving depositions and/or testifying in court as an expert witness.
